the time. We have also added the TV Guide description for the fourth
season episode College Bound. And
we have added an original ABC network commercial for the third season episode My

the series as our Photo
of the Week. Plus we have added the TV Guide description for the
fourth season episode Piano Movers. Plus

May
28, 2013 - Hello
again, fellow Cousins! We're still on our semi-hiatus, but fortunately our
talented fan fiction authors are NOT and this week we have two, yes, TWO new fan
fictions for you to enjoy! First is another entry into Cousin Whitney's
Kelsey stories with the spooky little tale, Spellbound,
in which strange things occur after Kelsey and Balki start to watch a scary
horror movie together! And then we have the continuing Bianca story from
Cousin Aurora entitled Ghosts in the
Machine, and I'm sure you'll agree it's a heart-wrenching, dramatic
entry into that series! Thank you to both Cousins Aurora and Whitney for
sharing their amazing creativity with us! Also this week we
have an original season two TV Guide ad for
the series as our Photo
of the Week. We've also added the TV Guide description to the fourth
season episode Aliens.
And we have added another original ABC network commercial for the classic third
season episode Pipe Dreams to our YouTube
Channel, this one for a special airing of the episode on a Tuesday night in
the summer of 1988 (in which they promised to run Perfect Strangers twice
a week for the whole summer, but I seem to recall this didn't actually last the
entire summer.) Thanks for checking in with us each week, Cousins, we appreciate
it!
May
21, 2013 - Welcome
back, Cousins! This week we're bringing you an original TV Guide ad for
the episode Citizenship, Part One as our Photo
of the Week. We've also added the TV Guide description to the fourth
season episode Assertive Training.
And we have added an original ABC network commercial for the classic third
season episode Pipe Dreams to our YouTube
Channel. Get out of the
city!
May
14, 2013 - Well,
pad my breasts and call me Mama! We hope everyone enjoyed a nice Mother's
Day this past weekend. This week we're bringing you a very cute publicity
still of Bronson and Mark as our Photo
of the Week. And we have added the TV Guide description for the fourth
season opener The Lottery. We have
also added a short article from Star Magazine
circa 1987 about celebrities and the colas they were endorsing at the time to
our Articles section. And finally we have added another original ABC
network commercial for the third season episode Better
Shop Around to our YouTube Channel.
And in closing, let's not forget to wish Bronson a very Happy Birthday on May
20th!
May
7, 2013 - Welcome,
Cousins, to another week of somewhat abbreviated updates, but we hope we still
have some fun things worth your while! First, we have added a scan of one
of the original filming admission tickets from 1987 as our Photo
of the Week. We have also added the TV Guide description to the third
season episode Up a Lazy River, Part One.
And we have also added a very brief article (or at least a description) of
Bronson's 1993 series The Trouble With Larry
to our Articles section. And you will also find another original ABC
network commercial for the series, specifically the third season episode Better
Shop Around, on our YouTube Channel. See you next week, Cousins!
April
30, 2013 - Hi! And welcome back to another somewhat
abbreviated week of updates. This week we're bringing you another brand
new Photo
of the Week. And we have added the TV Guide description to the third
season episode High Society. We
also have a very short article about the show running on Wednesday night from an
Unknown Publication, circa 1987, which we've
added to our Articles section. And finally we've added another original
ABC network commercial for the third season episode Just Desserts to our
YouTube
Channel. Catch you again next week, Cousins!
April
23, 2013 - Welcome back to another week of updates,
Cousins! This time around we are bringing you yet another Photo
of the Week. And we have added the TV Guide descriptions for the
episodes The Gift of the Mypiot and Car
Tunes. And we have a brief article from an Unknown
Publication circa 1987 which explains how the production company built a ski
slope for the filming of the episode Snow Way to Treat a Lady, Part One.
And finally we have added the original ABC network commercial for the third season
episode Just Desserts to our YouTube
Channel. Boochi boochi boochi!
April
16, 2013 - Hello, Cousins! This week we have some
fun updates for you, including a brand new Photo
of the Week. We have also added the TV Guide descriptions for the
season seven episodes The Wedding and Wild
Turkey. We have also started a new page in our Articles sections
called Letters to Publications, which will
include various fan letters and letters of inquiry sent to magazines and
newspapers over the years (which we don't necessarily have a date for or know
where they originated.) And finally we have added the original ABC network commercial for the third season
episode The Pen Pal to our YouTube
Channel. See you again next
time!
April
9, 2013 - Welcome back, Cousins! This week we're
continuing with our abbreviated updates but at least this week we're pleased to
be able to bring you the latest fan fiction from Cousin Aurora Lenore entitled Time
for Trouble! Bianca is back and finds herself in unexpected
danger, which sets off a string of events that not only brings Larry and Balki
back into her life but some other odd (and strangely familiar) characters as
well! It's a really exciting read you won't want to miss, Cousins! We have
also added a new Photo
of the Week of Mark as Larry Appleton, and we have also added the TV Guide
descriptions for the season seven episodes Fright
Night and Dimitri's World.
And we have added the original ABC network commercial for the third season
episode To Be or Not To Be to our YouTube
Channel. Tag you again
next week, Cousins! Boochi, boochi, boochi!
April
2, 2013 - Well, coat me in chocolate and call me
Hershey! We hope all of you who were able to attend Bronson's appearance
at the The American Music and Pop Culture Expo last weekend had a good
time! We hope there was good weather for the convention, but we really
can't tell since Bronson took over the Fox Channel 43 weather report, and we
have the link to the extended version of that segment on our News
page! We're back with a few more updates this week, including a brand new
Cousins Gallery page featuring the incredibly clever and original artwork of Cousin
May! Definitely check out her adorable drawings of Balki, Larry,
Jennifer and Mary Anne! And thank you, Cousin May, for allowing us to
share your P.S. related artwork with everyone here! We also have a picture
from the sixth season episode The Break Up as our Photo of the
Week. We've also added the TV Guide descriptions to the season seven
episode Bachelor Party and Weekend
at Ferdinand's. Plus we have added another network commercial for
the season three episode The Break In to our YouTube
Channel.
Thanks for continuing to check in with us each week, Cousins, we appreciate it!
March
26, 2013 - Hi, Cousins, it's so nice to have you back
again this week! We're thrilled to have a brand new, fabulous bit of
whimsical artwork from Cousin Crystal to share with you this week! It's an
adorable drawing of Mary Anne which we've added Cousin
Crystal Hill's Gallery Page, so be sure to scroll down to the second from
last picture to see this wonderful bit of magic from one of our most creative
Cousins! This time around we have a really nice publicity photo of
Bronson as our Photo of the
Week. And we have added a short blurb from a 1987 TV
Guide about Bronson's appearance in Muppet Magazine that we've added to our
Articles section. We have also added the TV Guide descriptions for the
episodes Picture This and Hello,
Baby. And we also have added an original ABC Network commercial
for the season three episode The Break In to our YouTube
Channel.
Thanks for hanging in there with us during our semi-hiatus, we appreciate
it! Boochi, boochi, boochi!
March
19, 2013 - Welcome, Cousins. We have made the
decision to take a semi-hiatus from this website for some time. So what
does this mean? It means that we'll still be posting some new stuff for
you every week, but these updates will be less than we've previously been
providing, at least for a short time. This is so we can redesign, regroup
and reorganize the website, which we hope to be able to accomplish by April or
May. This week we're bringing you a brand new Photo of the
Week. But you'll notice some changes to our What's On
Television?
page. We've embedded links from Locate TV on the site (which is where
we've been getting the listening information from anyway) which you can click on
to find all the upcoming appearances of your favorite PS actors. This way
the information will always be kept up to date, not just updated once a week
(and will save us a whole lot of work, too!) Also this week we've added
the TV Guide Descriptions for the episodes Tenspeed
and Soft Touch and Up on a Roof.
And we'll still be adding a new YouTube video each week when possible . . . this
week it's a network commercial for the season three episode Couch Potato.
We won't be
maintaining the weekly interactive discussions on our Forums, although both the
Forums and Facebook pages will still be very much active and open for
business! And also if anyone has a Fan Fiction to add to the site, you can
still e-mail it to us and
we'll make sure it gets posted! And we'll also be sure to keep up with any
important current news, which we'll continue to post both on the site and on
Facebook as well as on the site. For instance, this week we've learned
that season one of The Bronson Pinchot Project is available to view on
Hulu.com, and you can visit our News page for more
information! So rest assured that we'll do our best to fulfill your
recommended weekly Perfect Strangers requirements while we restructure
our work here! Thanks to everyone for your patience, understanding, and
continuing support!
March
12, 2013 - Hi (in stereo!) Welcome to the website
that guarantees 100 raisins in every box . . . no wait, that's the Raisin "Poofs"
promise. What we promise is a healthy dose of Perfect Strangers
goodness every week! So let's get started with a
brand new Photo of the
Week and totally updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. You'll also find a photo of Rebeca Arthur (who happens to be
celebrating a birthday this week!) and her poodle Emmy from an unknown
publication in our Articles section. Plus we have now added the TV Guide descriptions for the episodes
Dog Gone Blues and Citizenship,
Part Two to our Episode Guide. And we have added a network commercial for the season
three episode Future Shock to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Weekly Episode
Discussion board over at
our Forums will be the season
two episode, Can I Get a Witness? (Where are the Halls of
Montezuma?) And finally, for our
Forum's Topic of the Week we'd like for you to ponder the following question: What
period marks the high point of the series to you? The absolute pinnacle of
the series? We're thinking a period of specific episodes, not
necessarily a full season but five to ten episodes back to back which you felt
were really solid. Think about it and give us your answers, Cousins!
See you next week!
March
5, 2013 - Anyone have plans to attend The American Music and Pop Culture Expo in
Hershey, PA the weekend of March 29th? A reminder that Bronson Pinchot
will be appearing there to sign autographs! More information on this event
can be found on our News page. Now strap yourselves
up for a new week of updates, Cousins, including a
brand new Photo of the
Week plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And we have now added the TV Guide descriptions for the episodes Great
Balls of Fire and See You in September.
We have also added a brief article about Mark Linn-Baker from a
1992 edition of The Star-Ledger to our
Articles section. And we have added a network commercial for the season
three episode Night School Confidential to our YouTube Channel as
well! The episode we will be discussing on our Weekly Episode
Discussion board over at
our Forums will be the season
two episode, Ladies and Germs (have you had little people fighting
up your nose this cold and flu season?) And finally, for our
Forum's Topic of the Week we'd like to ask everyone this question: If
you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have three PS episodes to
watch over and over again, which three would you choose and why? Now
go on with you!
February
26, 2013 - Here we are with our last post . . . of
February! Got you! Cousins should joke more! Or maybe
not! Seriously we're happy to be back with yet another week of updates,
including
a
brand new Photo of the
Week plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a much less than stellar review of The
Langoliers from USA Today to our Articles
section (remember we don't agree in the slightest with these reviews, well,
maybe a little bit about the special effects, but not about Bronson's
performance, certainly!) Also we have added yet a second ABC network
commercial for the third season episode The Karate Kids to our
YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Weekly Episode
Discussion board over at
our Forums will be the second
season episode, Babes in Babylon (Uncle Pete!) And finally our
Forum's Topic of the Week is this: Do you think Mark
Linn-Baker should do a reality show about his work on Broadway and with the New
York Stage and Film Company? Not that there's any chance of him
doing any such thing, but at least we can put it out there! See you next
time, Cousins!
February
19, 2013 - Happy President's Day, one day late,
Cousins! Let's not forget to honor our forefathers who worked very hard to
create our country, and undoubtedly got very tired while doing it (as Balki
said, that's why George Washington slept everywhere.) This week we're
excited to tell you about another upcoming convention appearance Bronson will be
making at the end of March at The American Music and Pop Culture Expo in
Hershey, PA! You can find out all about this on our News
page (and thanks to Cousin Stuart on our Facebook group for the heads up about
this!) We are also bringing you our usual batch of updates, including
a
brand new Photo of the
Week plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article about the stage play Laughter on
the 23rd Floor in which Mark appeared in 1993 from the New
York Times to our Articles section. And we have added yet another ABC network commercial,
this time for the episode The Karate Kids to our YouTube
Channel.
The episode we will be discussing on our Weekly Episode
Discussion board over at
our Forums will be the second
season episode, The Unnatural (Make sure there are no lamps nearby
when you decide to practice baseball indoors!) And finally our
Forum's Topic of the Week poses this burning question: If
you could have been included as a character in any episode of Perfect
Strangers, which episode would you have chosen to be in and how would you
have participated or otherwise changed the course of what happened?
Get creative, Cousins, and we'll see you again next week!
February
12, 2013 - Well, tap my typewriter and call me
Feathertouch control! We are very excited to announce the addition of
another fan fiction, this one from Cousin Aurora Lenore, who first posted her
story, Larry and Balki's Egg-cellent
Adventure on her blog,
but was very kind in giving us permission to reprint it in its entirety here in
our Fan Fiction section! She promises more fan fiction to come, as does
Cousin Whitney, who submitted her new story last week, so I know we're all
excited to have some new stories to read! Much thanks to both Cousins for
their prolific ventures which we all get to enjoy! We also have our usual
updates this week, including a
brand new Photo of the
Week plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a 1982 review of My Favorite Year from Film
Collector's World to our Articles section. And we've added yet another
version of an ABC network commercial for the episode The Horn Blows at Midnight
to our YouTube Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Weekly Episode
Discussion board over at
our Forums will be the
first episode of the second season, Hello, Baby. Make sure you're
not lying on the hot side of the bed! And finally our
Forum's Topic of the Week comes from Cousin Whitney, who would like to ask
everyone: If you had the opportunity to meet Bronson or
Mark and were given the whole day to spend time with them, what would you do?
Give us your answers and we'll see you next week!!
February
5, 2013 - We're hoping that this week finds all of our
Cousins with their knees intact after the SuperBowl (you didn't place any
reckless bets, did you? Well, of course not! Don't be
ridiculous!) We can't promise to match the excitement of the big game, but
we can promise some new updates, including a brand new fan
fiction from Cousin Whitney's second fan fiction entitled The
Untitled Project of Mypos. We know you'll enjoy reading her latest
story, Cousins!! Thanks so much for submitting your story, Cousin
Whit! And you'll find out usual updates, including a new Photo of the
Week plus newly updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We've also added an (unfortunately) not so positive review of the
play Bronson did back in 1990 called Zoya's Apartment from the Daily
News to our Articles section (note that we add these kind of reviews
strictly for informational purposes, since they include background on the
productions themselves.) And we have added yet another
network television
commercial, this time for the season three episode The Horn Blows at Midnight
to our YouTube Channel. The episode we will be discussing the last episode of the first
season, Happy
Birthday, Baby, on our Weekly Episode
Discussion board over at
our Forums. Don't
forget the crullers! And finally, the question we are asking for our
Forum's Topic of the Week is this: Who would you rather
invite to your holiday party? Mr. Twinkacetti or Mr. Gorpley? And
why? Now go on with you!
January
29, 2013 - Hello, Cousins! We hope you are managing
to keep warm this winter (don't forget to test your fireplaces for the ideal
temperature . . . yes, we know you have probably used Larry Appleton's method
for this at some time or another!) Let us warm your hearts with our weekly
updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week plus newly updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from an unknown
publication about Rebeca Arthur hosting A&E's An Evening at the
Improv to our Articles section. We have also added another
network television
commercial for the season three episode Your Cheatin' Heart to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Weekly Episode
Discussion board over at
our Forums
this week will be season one episode Baby, You Can Drive My Car.
(And don't forget that the grapefruit is the brake! But then, who doesn't
know that?) And finally, for our Forum's Topic of the Week we pose this question:
Which of Cousin Larry's snow jobs was your particular
favorite, and why? Thanks, Cousins, and we'll
see you again next week!
January
22, 2013 - Well, save my doors and call me salvage!
We're sure all of you are enjoying the second season of The Bronson Pinchot
Project so far! As we await next week's episode, let us attempt to
entertain you with some updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And we've added a short article from USA
Today in 1991 which talks about The Gazebo episode of Perfect
Strangers to our Articles section. And we have added a television
commercial for the season three episode Your Cheatin' Heart to our YouTube
Channel. For our Weekly Episode
Discussion on our Forum
this week we'll be talking about the series third episode First Date.
Don't point! And for our Forum's Topic of the Week we are offering up this question: If
you were able to sample a Myposian delicacy, which one would you choose to
try? I think I'm safe in saying that we'd all
like to sample a bibbibabka if we had the chance, but do any of our Cousins have
more adventurous palettes? Let us know!
January
15, 2013 - Welcome back, Cousins! Have you made
yourselves ready for another week of updates? Well of course you have,
don't be . . . well, you know the rest! The second season of The Bronson
Pinchot Project debuted on the DIY Network this past weekend and Cousin Missy
found a new Q&A interview with Bronson for TV First Look.com's website which
we have linked on our News page. Thanks Missy for
finding that for us! You'll also find news about Mark's recent marriage to
Christa Justus (something we normally don't share is personal news about the
actors, but this is such a sweet story we couldn't resist! And we figure
you can't get much more public than the New York Times already!) In
addition to these stories we have our usual updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a snippet of an Article
from an unknown publication in which Bronson gives his opinion on what fans can
sometimes act like (this was back in the 80's at the height of his career, mind
you!) And we have added an ABC network commercial for a third version of a television
commercial for the season three episode Taking Stock to our YouTube
Channel. For our Weekly Episode
Discussion on our Forum
this week we'll be talking about the series second episode Picture This.
How can you say no to that? And for our Forum's Topic of the Week we ask
this question: If you could pick any season to be released
in its entirety on DVD next, and you knew there would be no further releases
ever, which season would you choose? We're
curious to see what you have to say about it, Cousins! See you on Facebook
and the Forums!
January
8, 2013 - Are you ready for the debut of season two of The
Bronson Pinchot Project, Cousins? This Saturday we can once again step
into Bronson's world when his show returns to the Do It Yourself Network!
For more information and links to Bronson's interactive sites online, visit our News
page. And in the meantime we'll try to entertain you with our latest
updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a photograph from an unknown
publication which shows Bronson at an event and having his picture taken
with Lorna Luft. We have also added an ABC network commercial for a third version of a television
commercial for the season three episode Sexual Harassment in Chicago to our
YouTube
Channel. For our Weekly Episode
Discussion on our Forum
this week, we're going to start at the very beginning with the premiere episode Knock,
Knock . . . Who's There? Po-tah-to crumbs, anyone? And while
you're at our Forums telling us what you think of the show's debut episode, why
not take a moment and answer our Topic of the Week, which is this: What
would you do if a stranger showed up on your doorstep claiming to be a relative
and looking for a place to stay? We look forward to hearing your
answers, Cousins!
January
1, 2013 - Happy New Year, Cousins! We really hope
2013 will be a wonderful year for each and every one of you! And we're
anxiously awaiting the return of The Bronson Pinchot Project to the DIY
Network on January 12th! In the meantime, let's start the year off right
with some updates, including
a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a small blurb from one of People
Magazine's best and worst dress lists from year's end 1986 about Bronson (just
to show how the media, more often than not, just really didn't get it.) We have added an
ABC network commercial for a third version of a television
commercial for the season three episode Weigh to Go, Buddy to our YouTube
Channel. And we're pleased to announce the return of our Weekly Episode
Discussion to our Forum!
We'll be going back and doing the episodes which were previously done on our
original forums, but we will begin with the season six episode Family Feud,
which we somehow missed altogether! (And yes, our pig snout puffs *are* a
little on the runny side!) And for our first Forum's
Topic of the Week or 2013 we'll get in the mood for Bronson's second season by
posing this question: Which room of Bronson's house do you
hope he will work on next? Let us know what you think he might do,
as well! Until next time . . . Boochi, boochi, boochi!
December
18, 2012 - Happy Birthday, Cousins! We all received
a wonderful present to anticipate in the coming year with the news that The
Bronson Pinchot Project will be returning to television with a sneak peek on
January 12th (this news coming courtesy from our wonderful Balki Claus herself,
Cousin Lucy of Bronson
Pinchot Online!) I know we're all anxiously awaiting the start of the
second season, but we'll just have to hold on to our cats a few weeks
longer! In the meantime, we have some final updates for you this year,
including
a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from an unknown
publication which talks about how Balki would be getting a bigger kitchen in
season 7 of Perfect Strangers (when the Cousins and girls moved into the
bigger house, you'll recall) to our Articles section. And to put you in
the mood for Christmas, we have added an ABC network commercial for
the first holiday episode A Christmas Story to our YouTube
Channel. And we'll broaden our Forum's
Topic of the Week this time to close out the year with this question:
"What, if any, are your New Year's resolutions?" We won't be
updating next Tuesday since it will be Christmas Day (will you get to be
the Christmas Girl / Boy this year?) but we will be back the following Tuesday
which will be New Year's Day!! If you don't have a noisemaker handy just
squeeze a frog and join us again then for all new updates in a all new year!
December
11, 2012 - Boochi Clause is coming to town . . .
delivering boochies to children who could use the companionship of a coodly
little sheep. Our 2012 Boochies
for Babies campaign is underway and our collection of sheep will be donated
sometime this week! If you'd like to participate, just buy a stuffed sheep
and donate it to your local charity. That's all it takes! Thanks,
Cousins! We have our regular selection of updates for you this week,
including
a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a brief article
about an ABC teachers project from 1991 which was disrupted by the start of the
Gulf War in our Articles section. And we have added another ABC network commercial for
the Perfect Strangers episode Weigh to Go, Buddy to our YouTube
Channel.
And this time our Forum's
Topic of the Week question is this: What is your favorite
Balki-ism of all time? You have more than one
favorite? Get out of the city! Let us know ALL of your favorites
then, Cousins! Go on with you!
December
4, 2012 - We hope all of our Cousins have been good this
year so that Balki Claus will pay them a visit in a few weeks! In the
meantime, you can play Balki Claus yourself by participating in our annual Boochies
for Babies campaign! Every year we ask that anyone who has the time
and can afford to please buy a stuffed sheep from a local toy store and donate
it to your children's charity of choice, i.e. Toys for Tots. Every child
could use a cuddly, warm sheep, so please donate if you can! And we would
love for you to share photos of the sheep you donate with us to inspire our
fellow Cousins! Thanks, everyone! This week we are bringing you
a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus complete television listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a newspaper comics section Mini
Page on Perfect Strangers from 1988 to our Articles section.
Also we have added another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this
one for the season three episode Weigh to Go, Buddy. And for our Forum's
Topic of the Week we will pose this question to all of you: If
you could have one PS related Christmas present this year, what would it
be? As if we didn't already know! See
you again next week!
November
27, 2012 - Hello, Cousins! Here's hoping your
Thanksgiving was relatively calm and not invaded by two crazy men looking for a
diamond ring in your turkey! This week we're pleased to bring you some fun
updates, including
a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus up-to-date television listings on our What's On
Television?
page (for all of you couch po-tah-toes out there!) We have also added a
page from an unknown publication that took a look back at the Exciting
Eighties of television to our Articles section. And we have added yet
another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this
one also for the season three opening episode All the News That's Fit to
Print. And for our Forum's
Topic of the Week we'd like to ask you the following question: If
you had the chance to talk to someone who worked at Warner Home Video, what
would you say to convince them that the remaining seasons of Perfect
Strangers should be released on DVD? We look forward to hearing
your responses, Cousins!
November
20, 2012 - Welcome back, Cousins! We're very pleased
to bring you some fun stuff this week, including a link on our News
page to the fabulous website of photographer / videographer Lem Lattimer whose
art is such a major part in bringing The Bronson Pinchot Project to
life. Many thanks to Cousin May for bringing this fabulous site to our
attention! In our regular updates, we have added
a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus up-to-date listings of upcoming PS cast appearances on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a 1985 review of the series Sara from People
Magazine to our Articles section (thanks, once again, to Cousin Dawn!)
And we have added another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this
one is for the season three opener All the News That's Fit to Print.
And in honor of Thanksgiving here in the United States, our Forum's
Topic of the Week poses this question: If you could spend
a holiday with Balki and Larry, which one would you choose and what would you
do? Hope you have a fabulous week, Cousins!
November
13, 2012 - Hello, Cousins! Are you ready for yet
another week of updates? Well, of course you are, don't be absurd!
This week we start out with a couple of TV alerts you should know about,
starting with a marathon of season one episodes of The Bronson Pinchot
Project on DIY on November 15th. And if you can't get enough Bronson,
there are also some repeat showings of DIY Channel's show That's So 80's
on both November 14th and 17th. Sam Anderson will also be returning to
network television this Thursday, November 15th, in an episode of the ABC series
Scandal entitled "Spies Like Us!" Check out the listings on our What's On
Television?
page for these and other upcoming TV appearances by the cast of PS! For
our regular updates, we have added a brand new Photo of the
Week, and we've also added a review of Beverly Hills Cop from a
January 1985 edition of People Magazine which
took a look at movie scene stealers (thanks once again to Cousin Dawn for the
great articles she posted on our Facebook group!) And we have added another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this
time for the season two episode Snow Way to Treat a Lady, Part One.
The episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the final episode of the series, Up,
Up and Away, Part Two. Opinions were decidedly lukewarm (and
understandably show) for the show's penultimate episode, but did the final,
final installment leave you wanting more, or feeling the show had definitely run
its course? We look forward to your input on this one, Cousins! This
will be the last Weekly Episode Discussion for a while, but hopefully we will go
back and fill in the episodes we covered on our previous Forum (plus any we may
have missed . . . Cousin littledimitri pointed out to us that the episode Family
Feud is not a thread on either forum, although I have it marked off on my
list, but test assured that eventually we will go back and cover all the
episodes here!) And finally for our Forum's Topic of the Week has Cousin
Mireya asking this very interesting question: What
kind of Perfect Strangers products (besides DVDs) would you like to see,
and what kinds would you NOT want to see, ever? I do hope she will
tell the story behind this question, because it's a very funny one indeed!
We will see you again next week, Cousins!
November
6, 2012 - Did all of our
Cousins in the U.S. get out and vote today? We hope so, regardless of who
you voted for (Balki for Class President perhaps?) Now that you've done
your civic duty, sit down and enjoy our latest updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus complete up-to-date listings of upcoming PS cast appearances on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a classic People
magazine article about Bronson's scene stealing in Beverly Hills Cop from
1985 to our Articles section, courtesy of Cousin Dawn (thanks once again for all
the articles, Cousin!) We have also added Issue
#25, the very last issue of the original P.S. I Love You! Newsletter to the
site for you to peruse and enjoy! And we have added another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this
time for the season two episode Beautiful Dreamer. This most
supreeze you, but we are now down to our last two episodes to review on our on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board (between the old and new forums . . . we may
have to go through the ones on the old forum again at some point!) so this week
we will be discussing the first half of the two-part series finale, Up, Up
and Away. Who knows? Maybe your boysenberry pig gut preserves
will win first prize! And finally for our Forum's Topic of the Week
we would like to ask you this question: Have you ever
cried while watching an episode of Perfect Strangers? If so, during
which one and why?
I'm sure everyone has some moving stories regarding our favorite show, so we
look forward to hearing from you, as always!
October
30, 2012 - Is everyone ready
for Halloween with their giant chicken costumes? Or have you picked out
your night of horrible movies to view? We hope you have a lot of fun this
year and that no Mypiot aliens try to put any vests on you! This week we
have our usual updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from a 1987 edition of Star
Magazine to our articles section (many thanks again to Cousin Dawn for
giving us permission to reprint many of her articles!) And we have added another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this
time for the season two episode Falling in Love Is . . . The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season seven episode Dimitri's
World. How hard can it be to draw a sheep? And our Forum's Topic of the Week
ties in with tomorrow as well, as we pose the question: If
you could dress like any character in any episode of Perfect Strangers,
who would you be? Fill up your thought balloons and let us know
what you think, Cousins! Happy Halloween (and we know you'll all be saying
"I am a Halloween!" at least once this week!)
October
23, 2012 - Well, give me change and call me Barack!
Just in time to capitalize on the impending election, the CBS series NCIS: Los
Angeles is offering up a politically-themed episode of their own tonight, and it
is guest starring Sam Anderson! So be sure to check out our News
page for information about that! And while you're there, you can also find
out how you can meet Bronson and get his autograph at the Chiller Theatre Expo
in Parsippany, New Jersey, this upcoming weekend! Should be a fun show, as
they have lots of celebrity guests scheduled! This is Bronson's first-ever
such convention appearance, so if you're in the area stop in and say hi!
We have our regular updates for you this week, Cousins, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from 1987 issue of US
Magazine in which Bronson makes his Oscar predictions (thanks once again to
Cousin Dawn for providing us with this article!) And we have added another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this
time for the season two repeat Hunks Like Us. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season six finale See You in
September. Are you ready to prove your love by being doused in mud,
Cousins? And finally our Forum's Topic of the Week comes once again from
Cousin Mireya, who would like to ask all of you this question: What
story(ies) would you have written for an episode of Perfect Strangers?
Feel free to provide a summary or brief synopsis! Everyone
put on your thinking cats and some up with some good suggestions . . . who
knows? It might even inspire some fan fiction from some of our creative PS
writers!
October
16, 2012 - Well, slap
my Mitt and call me Romney! We hope you're surviving this political season
with good humor, Cousins, as you watch all the politicians put on their zinging
smiles! We're going to give you a break from all the punditry by bringing
you a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added yet another ad sent to us by Cousin Dawn to our
Articles section, this one from a 1986 Hamilton,
Ontario paper. And we also have another ABC network commercial for
Perfect Strangers on our YouTube Channel . . . this one for the second season
episode Ladies and Germs. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season five classic Poetry in
Motion. Yep, get out your sledgehammers, Cousins! And once again
our
Forum's Topic of the Week comes from the wonderful Cousin Mireya, who would like to
know: Do you have theories to explain anything you
find unclear or strange about any part of Perfect
Strangers? Come on, Cousins, we know you all have those little
thoughts in your head which justify some of the stranger inconsistencies on the
show, so let us know what they are so we can all cope with them, too! And
just a heads up that Sam Anderson will be appearing on an all-new episode of NCIS:
Los Angeles next Tuesday night, so check our What's On
Television?
schedule for more information about that!
October
9, 2012 - Hello,
Cousins! We're sure you're finding your electoral selections as sleazy as
pie to make, so take a break from all the debate and spend some time with us
instead! This week we have a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We are also pleased to announce that Cousin Crystal has done a
makeover of sorts to one of her original drawings which we have now added to the
site. It's for her story Wet and
Nerdy and we know you'll agree she's outdone herself with this particular
piece of new artwork! Thank you, Cousin Crystal! We have also added
another new article which was originally posted by Cousin Dawn to our Facebook
group; this one is an ad for the the show from a
1986 edition of a London, Ontario paper. And we're starting a whole series
of original commercials for Perfect Strangers which we'll be adding each week to
our YouTube Channel . . . this first one is for
a repeat showing of the first season episode Happy
Birthday, Baby. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season four episode Crimebusters.
And the rest, as they say, is hysterectomy. And finally our
Forum's Topic of the Week comes from Cousin Mireya, who would like to ask
everyone this question: What would you have liked to see
more of, less of, or none of throughout the series? Think
hard, Cousins (we know you know Balki's think hard expression!) and let us know
what you think!
October
2, 2012 - Well, paint me
green and call me Gumby! Welcome back to another week of updates,
Cousins! This week we have a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And don't forget to check out Bronson's appearances on the new DIY
series That's So 80's! which we covered last week on our News
page. We have also added an article from a 1989 edition of the St.
Thomas Times-Journal (which was originally posted by Cousin Dawn on our
Facebook page) to our Articles section. Thanks again, Cousin Dawn!
And we have also added the last segment of clips of Bronson
from Jury Duty: The Comedy to our YouTube
Channel! The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the classic season three episode Pipe
Dreams. That spackle must be amazing stuff! And our
Forum's Topic of the Week comes from Cousin Mireya, who asks this very
interesting question: What are some ways in which Perfect
Strangers would have been different if it had been set in your hometown or
other place where you've lived? Give us your
thoughts on this or anything else you like, Cousins! We always love
hearing from you!
September
25, 2012 - Hello,
Cousins! We're back with another week of updates (tell me something I
don't know!) Well, here's something you may not know! Bronson can
currently be seen making comedic comments on the new Do It Yourself (DIY)
Network series That's So 80's! To find out more about this program,
check our News page! This week we have a brand new Photo of the
Week, plus updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And we have added another article which was submitted to our
Facebook group by Cousin Dawn, this one from a March 1986 edition of the Toronto
Star to our Articles section! Many thanks again, Cousin Dawn, for
these great articles! And we have added Issue
#24 of the original P.S. I Love You! fan club newsletter to our Newsletters
section. And we have yet another segment of clips of Bronson
from Jury Duty: The Comedy to our YouTube Channel!
The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season two episode Two Men and a
Cradle. (Be honest, the theme song from The Brady Bunch is
running through your head now, isn't it?) And our
Forum's Topic of the Week is very simple . . . What
question would you like to see as a future Topic of the Week?
Thanks again for your continued support and friendship, Cousins! We can't
tell you how much we appreciate all your energy and feedback!
September
18, 2012 - We're back,
Cousins, with another week of updates for you (well of course we are, don't be
ridiculous!) This time around we have
another brand new Photo of the
Week, plus completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added yet another article posted by Cousin Dawn to our
Facebook page, this one a cover story from a 1986 TV section of The
Detroit Free Press, to our Articles section (thanks again for allowing us to
post these, Cousin Dawn!) And we have added the next segment of clips of Bronson
from Jury Duty: The Comedy to our YouTube Channel!
The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season two episode Check This.
(Why do I have to explain everything??) And our
Forum's Topic of the Week is a subject we like to bring up every now and again
for newer members (and longtime Cousins!) to answer, and it is this: Which
section of the site would you like to see updated more regularly?
Let us know, Cousins!
September
11, 2012 - Well, slap me
silly! We're back with yet another week of updates for you, Cousins,

from Jury Duty: The Comedy to our YouTube Channel!
The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season six entry Family
Feud. (You can't do that! It's against the rules!) And our
Forum's Topic of the Week comes once again from the inquisitive Cousin
littledimitri who would like to know: Did you ever share a
"moment" with someone about the show - some reference to Perfect
Strangers - and you found out that someone else loved it too? We
always love hearing from you on the Forums and on our Facebook group, Cousins!
September
11, 2012 - Hello,
Cousin! Welcome back to another week of updates. While this is a sad
anniversary for America, we will try to keep things on the light side with
a brand new Photo of the
Week and updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a really nice article about Bronson from Satellite
Orbit magazine which was posted on our Facebook group by Cousin Dawn and
reprinted on the site with her permission! Thank you very much for sharing
this (and other articles, which are coming soon!) with us, Cousin Dawn! We
have also added another set of clips
featuring Bronson in his multiple roles in the outrageous made-for-TV comedy
movie from 1990, Jury Duty: The Comedy (aka The Great American Sex
Scandal) to our YouTube Channel!
The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season three episode, Weigh to
Go, Buddy (I am not lying, I am not lying!) And our Forum's
Topic of the Week comes from Cousin Mireya who would like to read your answers
to this question: What role(s) would you have liked to see
any Perfect Strangers actor play in your favorite movies, TV shows, or
other works (feel free to include hypothetical remakes and/or adaptations)?
Wwowww! That should open up some pretty interesting speculations, don't
you think? Thanks, Cousin Mireya, for this week's topic, and if *you* have
a question you would like to see included as our Topic of the Week, feel free to
e-mail them to us!
September
4, 2012 - Cousins, so good to
see you again! We have returned with yet another week of updates for you,
including a brand new Photo of the
Week and updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from a 1987 edition of the Times News
about Rebeca Arthur to our articles section (many thanks again to Cousin Monika
for the links to these great articles!) And we begin a series of clips
featuring Bronson in his multiple roles in the outrageous made-for-TV comedy
movie from 1990, Jury Duty: The Comedy (aka The Great American Sex
Scandal) to our YouTube Channel! The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season four episode, Assertive
Training. STOP!! And we have an interesting question for you as
our Topic of the Week: Can
you figure out which episode of Perfect Strangers they might be talking
about in the ad shown as our Photo of the
Week? We
don't have the answer, but we'd love to hear you suggestions of which episode
this might actually be!
August
28, 2012 - Oh po po!
Are you ready for another week of updates, Cousins? Well, of course you
are . . . don't be absurd! This week we have a brand new Photo of the

appearance on the daytime TV
game show Super Password to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season seven opener, Bachelor
Party. Watch out for those goat doodles! And finally our Forum's Topic of
the Week this week asks you to consider the following: If
Perfect Strangers were to be remade on television today, who would you
get to play the roles of Balki and Larry (apart from Bronson and Mark, of
course!) Think
about it and share your thoughts with us!
August
21, 2012 - Cousins should
joke more! But we're not joking when we say we have all-new updates for
you this week, including a brand new Photo of the
Week and updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article about Rebeca Arthur from a 1992
edition of The Daily Gazette, generously
sent to us by Cousin Monika! And we have also added the next segments of Rebeca Arthur's 1988
appearance on the daytime TV
game show Super Password to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season five episode Nightmare
Vacation. Remember that spider in the bathroom? And finally our Forum's Topic of
the Week is courtesy of Cousin Whit, who would like to know the answer to this
question: Dimitri was
the boochi in Boochi Tag . . . if you were able to play Boochi Tag, what would
you use as a boochi? Be
creative with your answers, Cousins, and we'll see you again next week!
August
14, 2012 - Get out of the
city! Cousins, we have learned this week of another online petition to
help convince Warner Bros. to release the rest of Perfect Strangers on DVD, and
you can sign that by clicking here
(we understand that some fans are having trouble signing our petition, so if
you've had trouble with this then try the new one! Many thanks to Cousin
RP for letting us know about this new petition!) And now on to our
regularly scheduled updates, which include a brand new Photo of the
Week and updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from the Wilmington
Morning Star in 1988 about Perfect Strangers to our Articles section,
thanks to Cousin
Monika! You will also find the second segment of Rebeca Arthur's 1988
appearance on the daytime TV
game show Super Password now on our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season two episode Life Savers.
Don't forget to bask in someone's glory while you're at it! And finally our Forum's Topic of
the Week comes this week from Cousin Mireya, who would like to know your opinion
on this subject: If Perfect Strangers was being
filmed today, what episodes would be very different or non-existent due to
technological advances? We look forward to
reading your answers, Cousins!
August
7, 2012 - Hey there,
Cousins! Did you think we wouldn't be back with more updates for you this
week? What, are you outta your mind??? Of course we're here, don't
be ridiculous! And this week we are bringing you a brand new Photo of the
Week as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. Plus we are happy to bring to you another article which Cousin
Monika sent to us about Melanie Wilson, this time from the Reading
Eagle / Reading Times! Thanks again, Cousin! We have also posted
the first segment of one of Rebeca Arthur's 1988 appearances on the daytime TV
game show Super Password on our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season seven episode The Elevator.
Remember to always find the magic angle, Cousins! And our Forum's Topic of
the Week comes once again from Cousin littledimitri (thank you, Cousin, for all
the great suggestions) and she wants to know this: How do
you envision a reunion / convention? Be
creative with your answers, Cousins! We'll see you again next week!
July
31, 2012 - Hello (in
stereo!) And welcome to another week of fun updates, beginning right away
with a brand new Photo of the
Week as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. Plus we have some wonderful articles coming up submitted to us by
Cousin Monika and starting with this first article from a 1989 edition of The
Daily News all about Melanie Wilson! Thank you, Cousin Monika, for
this and all of the upcoming articles you've submitted, we appreciate them all
very much! We have also added the last segment we have of Melanie Wilson's 1988 appearance
on the game show The $100,000 Pyramid to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season four episode Seven Card
Studs. Don't forget to bluff if you don't have a pair of
anything! And finally our Topic of the Week comes this week from the
imaginative and inquisitive Cousin littledimitri who would like to know your
answers to this question: What things have happened to you
in real life that reminded you of Perfect Strangers? Maybe a line
someone said in real life that was from the show or someone saying something
which could easily have been a Balki-ism? Hopefully your plumbing has
never exploded while you were trying to change a shower head! Share your
stories with us, Cousins!
July
24, 2012 - It's so good to be
home from vacation, Cousins! And that's not because we let Cousin Larry
make the plans and had a terrible time, but just because we missed being here to
share more Perfect Strangers fun with you all! So let's make up for lost
time and start right in with this week's updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a review of Blame It On the Bellboy from the McClatchy
News Service in 1992 to our Articles section. And we have a special
treat for you this week! Cousin Crystal found an old sketch of one of her
adorable Perfect Strangers comic strips which she had started previously
and now finished up for us to enjoy on her Cousins
Gallery Page (just scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the new
piece!) Thank you, Cousin Crystal!! We have also posted Issue
#23 of the original P.S. I Love You! newsletter for you to enjoy! Plus
we have added another segment of Melanie Wilson's 1988 appearance
on the game show The $100,000 Pyramid to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season six episode Black Widow.
Fact! And our Topic of the Week on the Forums this time around comes from
Cousin Whit, who would like everyone to answer this question: "If
you had the opportunity/ies to attend a taping of Perfect Strangers which
episode/s would they be?" We look
forward to reading your answers online, Cousins!
July
10, 2012 - We have you all
enjoyed a fun 4th of July this past week! We're back this week with our
usual updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a review of Bronson's 1992 film Blame It On
the Bellboy from the San Francisco Chronicle
to our Articles section. And we have added another segment of Melanie Wilson's 1988 appearance
on the game show The $100,000 Pyramid to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season eight episode After Hours.
(And don't forget, under no circumstances should moon oil be applied to one's
skin!) And this time around our Topic of the Week comes from Cousin
littledimitri, who asks, "After reading the script changes in the Episode
Guides, are there any where you felt they should have used the
original?" Put on your thinking cats, Cousins, and let us know what
you think! Please note that we will be on vacation
next week, so our next updates will happen on July 24th! Oh po po!
July
3, 2012 - America, land of
the brave, home of the Whooper! We hope all of you in the States will have
a very nice 4th of July (and a very happy July 4th to everyone outside the U.S.
as well!) This week we have some fun updates for you, including a brand new Photo of the
Week as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And we have added the Playbill for Zoya's
Apartment, in which Bronson appeared in the summer of 1990, to our Articles
section. And we have also added part of Melanie Wilson's 1988 appearance
on the game show The $100,000 Pyramid to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season seven episode This New House. Just don't forget to skim the fur from your ferret juice before
drinking! And our Forum's Topic
of the Week we thought it might be fun to ask this very simple question: "What
is one of your all-time favorite scenes from Perfect Strangers? One
that never fails to make you laugh?" I'm
sure we've discussed similar things before in Favorite Episodes but let's just
have some fun reminding each other of those classic PS moments that make us
continue to love this show year after year! Now go on with you!
June
26, 2012 - Cousins, we have a
very special treat for you this week! We have the first eye-witness
information from the terrific Cousin Chris about the Warner Bros. exhibit at The
Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles and what exactly they have displayed for
Perfect Strangers! You can read about it on our News
page, which links to another page with the full story! Of special interest
is a costume of Balki's they have on display which is actually a combination of
several different pieces of clothing never worn together on the show, so you
definitely have to check it out and see what you think! Thank you so much,
Cousin Chris, for filling us in on this interesting exhibit! And hold on to
your cats, Cousins, because we have our regular updates as well (when will it
all stop?) First of all, we have added a brand new Photo of the
Week as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And we have added a photo from a 1989 edition of The
Grand Rapids Press to our Articles section. And we've added another
new scene from the Russian version of Perfect Strangers, Brothers Differently,
to our YouTube Channel (see if you recognize their version of this scene
from Ladies and Germs!) The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season three episode The Karate
Kids. Watch out for those sausage links in Larry's Furry Fists! And our Forum's Topic
of the Week comes once again from Cousin littledimitri, who asks this very
straightforward question: "Which Perfect Strangers
character are you most like?" How about
it, Cousins? Are there any Mr. Gorpley's actually amongst us??
June
19, 2012 - I have . . . (oh
God!) . . . a plan! To post this week's updates, that is! And here
they are, starting with a brand new Photo of the
Week and completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a Picks and Pans article from a 1986 issue of People
magazine to our Articles section. And we have embedded Bronson's 1990
interview from Good Morning, Houston,
which he gave right before hosting the Foley's Thanksgiving Day parade in that
city, to our Interviews section. And we have some more fun clips of Rebeca Arthur's appearances on The
New Hollywood Squares from 1989 which we've added to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season seven entry Door to Door.
Don't forget to Get the money, Get the money, Get the money! And our Forum's Topic
of the Week comes from Cousin Whit, who asks this very interesting question: "How
do you think the strength of Perfect Strangers would be if the plot were
reversed, with Larry showing up on Balki's doorstep?"
What do you think, Cousins?
June
12, 2012 - Boochi boochi
boochi, Cousins! That means you're It! And I can't be tagged because
I'm holding the Boochi! Not really! Cousins should joke more!
But we're not joking about our batch of updates this week, including a brand new Photo of the
Week and completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a 1993 article about the very short-lived and
controversial play, Face Value, which Mark
appeared in to our Articles section. And we have embedded Bronson's
October 1989 interview on Good Morning, America
to our Interviews section as well! And we are adding yet another segment
of Rebeca Arthur's appearances on The
New Hollywood Squares from 1989 to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be discussing on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the very sad season three ender Bye,
Bye Biki. Get out your handkerchiefs for that one, Cousins! And finally, our Forum's Topic
of the Week is a very straightforward question: "What's
the highest score you've gotten so far on the new Perfect Strangers video game
online, Nothing's
Gonna Stop Me Now? And what was the dream you were
chasing?" Oh po po, why not go play it
again right now and see how you do this time?
June
5, 2012 - Get out of the
city! Cousins, we're back with another week of updates! This week we
have our usual fare, including a brand new Photo of the
Week and completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And we have added a very short article about the audio book reading
Mark did of The Player back in 1992 (and
you thought only Bronson read audio books!) We have also embedded
Bronson's 1989 interview on Geraldo to our
Interviews section (you know, the one where he was on the panel with all the
psychics?) Plus we have added another segment of excerpts from Rebeca Arthur's appearances on The
New Hollywood Squares from 1989 to our YouTube
Channel. And the episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season two entry Hello, Elaine.
You have to allow people to chase their dreams! And finally, our Forum's Topic
of the Week comes once again from Cousin littledimitri who want to know your
opinion on this topic: "What are some of you favorite
and least favorite outfits worn by the characters on the show?"
You know what they say, clothes make the Mypiot! See you next week,
Cousins!
May
29, 2012 - Well! (Make
sure you read that with a whisper "H" after the W!) This week
we're back with another fresh batch of updates (not as delicious as a fresh
batch of bibbibabkas but much less apt to explode!) We begin with a brand new Photo of the
Week and completely updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. Plus we have added a small blurb about a pilot television show
Bronson appeared in called Forever Young
to our Articles section. And we have embedded Bronson's 1989 interview
from After Hours to our Interviews
section. And we are beginning a series of Rebeca Arthur's appearances on The
New Hollywood Squares from 1989 on our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season five opener Good Skates.
Just be sure to stay away from the stairs! And finally, our Forum's Topic
of the Week comes once again from Cousin littledimitri who asks this very good
question: "If we still couldn't have the whole series
on DVD but WB was going to release a 'Classics' or 'Quintessential PS' DVD -
what episodes would we think should be on it?" But on your
thinking cats, Cousins, and let us know what you would choose as the episodes
best to release on DVD!
May
22, 2012 - Are you ready to
get back Funky Cat? Well, we have another week of fun updates for you,
Cousins, starting with a brand new Photo of the
Week and complete listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added the cover of a TV
Voice newspaper guide from April of 1986 featuring Balki and Larry to our
Articles section. And we have embedded Bronson's May 1988 interview and
on-the-set report about Second Sight from Good
Morning, America to our Interviews section. We have also added
Bronson's spots for a Disney Cable Channel Preview weekend which were done at
Christmastime in 1996 to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season six entry Climb Every
Billboard. Hopefully Destiniki will be able to help you decide what
you think about this episode without making you scale a mountain! And our
Forum's Topic of the Week comes once again from Cousin littledimitri who asks us
this question: "Did you feel at any point during the
series like it was "done," i.e., jumped the shark?"
Let us know what you think, Cousins!
May
15, 2012 - Hello again,
Cousins, and welcome back for another week of fun updates about our fah-vor-it
television show! This week, as always, we have our usual updates for you to
peruse, including a brand new Photo of the
Week and complete listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an interesting print ad placed by P.S. executive
producers Tom Miller and Bob Boyett in a 1990 issue of The
Hollywood Reporter thanking director Rich Correll who directed three
different Miller/Boyett shows airing on just one night of TGIF to our Articles
section. We have also embedded Bronson's 1988 interview from Entertainment
Tonight to our Interviews section. And we have added some comments
Bronson made in a Disney Channel special tribute to the classic comedy team of
Laurel and Hardy to our YouTube Channel. And speaking of Laurel and Hardy,
the episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season four favorite Piano Movers.
What would you do if you had a piano chasing you down a flight of
stairs? Besides scream and run, that is? And our Forum's Topic of
the Week comes again from Cousin littledimitri, who has this interesting inquiry
for you to ponder: What did you really love or hate about
both Larry or Balki? We look forward to
hearing your answers, Cousins!
May
8, 2012 - Are you interested
in the Games People Play? Well, you should be, because right now it seems
like everyone is playing the brand new online Perfect Strangers internet
game Nothing's
Gonna Stop Me Now! This amazingly fun diversion was created by
computer game master Jason Oda, who took some time out of his busy schedule to
answer some questions for us in an exclusive Q&A! You can find the
link to that plus the link to the game itself on our News
page! Many thanks, Jason, for your time and many MORE thanks for creating
such a wonderful game based on our favorite show! I think everyone is in
agreement that it really nails the feel of the show perfectly! And when
you've finished playing with that (go ahead, take your time . . . we know the
game is addictive!) then we have our usual updates for you to enjoy, including a brand new Photo of the
Week and completely up-to-date listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added the cover of the 1989-90
season press kit cover to our Articles section for you to view. And we
have added Bronson's 1988 correspondence assignment at a college comedy class
from Good Morning, America to our
Interviews section. And we have also added yet another appearance which
Melanie Wilson made on The Pat Sajak Show to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season three outing Taking Stock
(just how many raisins are in your box of Raisin Poofs?) And our Forum's Topic of the Week
comes courtesy of the creative Cousin littledimitri who asks "How
would you have written the Season 2- 3 transition?" There was
a pretty big jump from the Ritz Discount Store to The Chronicle as well as the
new apartment . . . what would you have done if you'd been writing the show?
Put on your thinking cats for that one, Cousins!
May
1, 2012 - Hello, Cousins, and
welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed seeing Mark on The Good Wife
on Sunday! If you missed the episode, don't worry, you can now view it on
CBS.com (if you are within the United States, that is) and we have the link for
that on our News page now. Hopefully we will continue to see more former Perfect
Strangers cast members on TV more often! This week we're back with our
usual updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. From now on we will only be updating the Tell Me Something I Don't
Know page every so often . . . we've pretty much gone through our store of facts
for right now, but we hope you've been enjoying that feature! We will
certainly add to it as we are continually discovering new things about our
favorite show! We have also added the cover of the 1988-1989
press kit folder for Perfect Strangers to our Articles section.
And we have embedded Mark's May 11, 1989 interview on Good
Morning, America to our Interviews section. We have also added
Melanie Wilson's complete Pat Sajak interview (which also featured Louie
Anderson, who talked about filming the Perfect Strangers pilot with
Bronson!) to our YouTube Channel. The episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season two tearjerker Falling in
Love Is . . . Make sure you have plenty of macadamia nut ice cream on
hand for that one, Cousins! And our Forum's Topic of the Week comes once
again from Cousin littledimitri who asks "What other
famous characters can you see the Perfect Strangers actors playing?"
Now there's some thoughtful food! And don't forget, you can also discuss the show on
our Facebook
Group, so why not join us there? Go on with you!
April
24, 2012 - Well!! Think
it's been too long since we've seen Mark Linn-Baker on television? Well,
you're in for a treat this week, Cousins, because Mark will be making an
appearance as a judge on the popular CBS series The Good Wife in their third
season finale! We have more information about this on our News
page for you to check out. And while we're waiting for that, let's look at
our regular weekly updates, shall we? First we have for you a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, as well as updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. And we have added a cover story about Perfect Strangers (well, the
cover at least!) from the Ventura County Star Free Press TV
Star magazine to our Articles section. And we've embedded Bronson's
lengthy and very interesting interview circa 1990 on North
West Afternoon to our Interviews section. Plus we have added Melanie
Wilson's 1989 interview on A.M. Los Angeles to our YouTube
Channel.
The episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season five episode The
Newsletter. Read it before they wrap fish in it! And this week's
Topic for our Forums comes once again from Cousin littledimitri, who asks us
this question: "What kinds of things could have
happened if PS had continued with the new generation growing up? Who would
play Tucker and Robbie?" Be creative in
that casting, Cousins! We'll see you again next week!
April 17, 2012 - Well, Frankenstein
my salvage and call me Bronson! We're very happy to announce that The
Bronson Pinchot Project has indeed been picked up for another season!
Congratulations, Bronson, and we can't wait to see you, Mikey, C.J. and everyone
else back again for more shows soon! In the meantime, we have another week
of updates ready for you, Cousins, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new tidbit of information on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a cover photo for Mark's film Noises Off
from Box Office magazine to our Articles
section. And we have embedded another one of Bronson's 1987 interviews
from Good Morning, America to our Interviews
section. Plus this week we are adding Rebeca Arthur's 1991 interview on Rick
Dees Into the Night to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season five episode Digging Up
the News. Which is your favorite part? The musical number?
Or seeing Mark dressed up as Frenchy? And this week our Forum's Topic of
the Week comes once again from Cousin littledimitri, who asks this very
thought-provoking question: "Are there any episodes
that really 'bother' you, in the sense that they feel like the wrong kind of
plot for the show, or Larry or Balki really acts out of character?"
Get out of the city!
April
10, 2012 - Wwowww!
Welcome back for another week of fun updates, Cousins! We'll start off
this week by sharing a very funny video of Bronson that was posted recently on
YouTube, and which you can check out on our News
page! We really hope this will be just the first of many to come!
Also, Bronson Pinchot Online now has a Facebook
page, so head on over there and Like it to keep up with all the latest news
on Bronson! Get out of the city! And now we have our usual updates,
which include a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new nugget of knowledge on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and updated listings on our What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a small photo from TV
World in 1991 for Mark's made-for-TV movie Bare Essentials. And
we have embedded Bronson's 1995 interview from Entertainment
Tonight in which he takes viewers on a tour of the set of The
Langoliers to our Interviews section. And we have added another very
cute ABC commercial in which Balki and Larry tell viewers that Perfect Strangers
is moving to 9:00 p.m. to our YouTube
Channel. The episode we will be
discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season three episode The Pen Pal.
Booga booga!! And our Forum's Topic of the Week comes from Cousin
littledimitri who would like to ask her fellow Cousins this question: "What
guest character or minor character would you have liked to see more of?"
Okay, Cousins, go on with you!
April
3, 2012 - Oh po po! The
first season of The Bronson
Pinchot Project is over, but we still have reruns to watch! We're
hoping the show is picked up for a second season and will let you know for sure
when we know! But what better way to recuperate from our withdrawal pangs
than by enjoying a very funny and entertaining video interview with Lower
Coast Skies, the awesome Aussie band which recently recorded a rockin'
version of the Perfect Strangers theme song, Nothing's Gonna Stop Me
Now? These talented musicians and performers from down under were
absolutely wonderful in answering our many questions in a fun and unique way, so
check out their video interview, linked from our News
page! And then check out our regular updates including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, as well as up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. And we have added an interesting (if not exactly glowing) review of
the episode Safe at Home from The
Hollywood Reporter in September 1990 to our Articles archive. Plus we
have embedded Bronson's interview on Good Morning,
America from 1987 to our Interviews section. And we have added an
interesting ABC commercial for Eek! Week featuring the actors from various ABC
shows to promote the premiere of the short-lived animated series Capitol
Critters to our YouTube Channel. And
the episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season seven episode Yes Sir,
That's My Baby. Be sure to join the discussion or Mr. Cuddly Bunny's
gonna beat the living daylights out of you! And finally, our Topic of the
Week question comes from Cousin WhitLovesBalki and it's a very appropriate one,
although it may be difficult to answer, and that is this: "What
has been your favorite project that Bronson has undertaken on The Bronson
Pinchot Project?" Hmmm . . . how to decide? Maybe we
should just watch all the episodes over again!
March
27, 2012 - Wwowww! Does
it seem possible that the first season of Bronson's new show, The Bronson
Pinchot Project, can be coming to an end so soon? It's amazing how
quickly you become addicted to watching Bronson getting excited like a kid over
his architectural doings! I'm sure we all hope DIY will pick up the show
for at least another season! In the meantime, we'll keep you company with
non-architectural updates, such as a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new tidbit of information on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, as well as up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We also have some News about a new Warner
Bros. exhibit at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California, which
we're told does include some Perfect Strangers memorabilia! We hope
to have more detailed information about this exhibit soon, so hold on to your
cats! We have also added an article about Bronson from a 1988 edition of
the San Gabriel Valley Tribune to our
Articles section. And we have embedded Bronson's 1989 interview with John
Larroquette about Second Sight from the news program Live
on Five to our Interviews section. And we have added two similar
but different commercials from ABC in which Balki and Larry announce Perfect
Strangers' move from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday nights to our YouTube
Channel. And
the episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the fifth season episode Disorderly
Orderlies. Simon Says, "Discuss!" And our Topic of the
Week comes once again from littledimitri, who asks: "How
would you have written the end of the series differently?"
Blow my mind, why don't you? Isn't that a terrific question! I'm
sure many of us would have liked to have seen the series end somewhat
differently (or maybe not end at all!) so give it some thought, Cousins, and let
us know what you think! Oh po po!
March
20, 2012 - Well, wear my
vests and call me Balki! It's been an exciting week, Cousins, especially
with Bronson's exciting appearance on Good Morning, America, care of a
Lara Spencer report done for ABC News. It was wonderful to see Bronson
giving Lara a tour of Harford and his homes, but the big excitement for P.S.
fans came with Lara's almost off-handed comment about Bronson saying he would be
happy to do a Perfect Strangers reunion under the right circumstances
(which you can read more about, and also view the original interview, on our News
page!) We also have new episodes of The
Bronson Pinchot Project to look forward to on DIY, as well as reruns of
the show which are turning up more often, so say tuned for those!
Meanwhile we have our usual batch of updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, as well as up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We've also added an article from a 1987 edition of The
Gazette about Perfect Strangers. And we've embedded Bronson's
1989 from Regis and Kathie Lee to our
Interviews section. And we have added a very short but cute Monday
Night Football ad from ABC featuring Balki and Larry to our YouTube
Channel. And
the episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season four episode Prose and
Cons. Why not give your blanket to someone you love this week in honor
of Balki's selflessness, Cousins? And our Topic of the Week on the Forums
this week is this really good question from Cousin Whit, which is this: "If
Bronson’s new show becomes available on DVD, will you buy it?"
Do we know what everyone's answer will be? Well, I hope we do! Don't
be ridiculous!
March
13, 2012 - Greetings and
salutations, Cousins! Can't get enough of The Bronson Pinchot Project?
Well, on March 18th DIY will be running a marathon of all the episodes so far,
and you can find those listings on our What's On
Television?
page (and thanks to Cousin Whit for an early heads up on that!) It's a
terrific show and we can only hope if he ever does a bathroom renovation it goes
a lot smoother than when Larry tried to change Jennifer's shower head (our
advice to Bronson in that circumstance . . . spackle is amazing stuff!) We
have our usual updates as well, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, and a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page. We have also added an early TV
Guide article about the PBS American Playhouse telefilm, The Ghost Writer,
which Mark appeared in back in 1984 from TV Guide
to our Articles section. And we have embedded Bronson's 1988 guest hosting
spot on Hour Magazine to our Interviews
section. Plus we have added a series of ABC commercials for reruns of
comedy shows which ran in the summer of 1988 called The Decathalon of Comedy (to
compete with the Summer Olympics running on a rival network) to our YouTube
Channel. And
the episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season six episode Grandpa.
And we hope this week's discussion will give you a real Buzz. Get
it? Buzz? Where do we come up with them?! And our Forum's Topic of the Week this week
is another very interesting thought-provoker from Cousin littledimitri, which is
this: "Could Perfect Strangers work if it took
place today?" Think about it, Cousins, and give us your
opinions!
March
6, 2012 - Hope everyone had a
pleasant Leap Day this year (not quite as much fun as Mud Day, which as we all
know takes place every year!) We have returned with more updates
for you, and if you want to be sure to catch ALL the up-to-the-minute Perfect
Strangers news then join us on our Facebook
Group! This week we have our usual updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new tidbit of information on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, as well as up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a short article from an Unknown
Publication about a rare manuscript which Bronson once purchased at
auction. And we've embedded Bronson's 1989 interview on The
Byron Allen Show to our Interviews section. And we have added the
last one of the very funny One to One public
service announcements from ABC Saturday morning to our YouTube
Channel in which Balki learns to learn from his mistakes. And
the episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season three episode The Break In.
Remember, insult comedy can be a very dangerous thing in the wrong hands!
And our Forum's Topic of the Week this week comes from the Cousin littledimitri,
who stormed her brain to come up with a whole bunch of potential topics, many of
which we will undoubtedly be using in the coming weeks! But this week's
topic is this: "What makes the show special
(different from / better than) other shows for you?" Let us
know what you think, Cousins!
February
28, 2012 - Well, cut my
salvage and call me C.J.! It's amazing how much media attention Bronson's
new show is getting, and by far a vast majority of it is positive! Be sure
to catch up on all the latest media happenings listed on our own The Bronson Pinchot
Project Page. And don't forget to tune in to the DIY Network every
Saturday night at 10:30 p.m. for a new episode! And while you're patiently
waiting for that, why not peruse our latest batch of updates? This week we are bringing you our usual
fare,
including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid for our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, as well as up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an very interesting article from an Unknown
publication from September 1986 which talks about Perfect Strangers.
And we've embedded Bronson's 1993 interview about The Trouble with Larry
on CBS This Morning to our Interviews
section. Plus we've added another one of those very cute One to One public
service announcements from ABC Saturday morning to our YouTube
Channel, this
time teaching the lesson to like yourself and your own looks. And
the episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the season six episode New Kid on the
Block. Are you ready for Tess the Terrible?? And finally we
don't have a Topic of the Week this week, but if you'd like to suggest one for
the Forums then feel free to e-mail
us and let us know! Now go on with you!
February
21, 2012 - Wwowww! So
what does everyone think of Bronson's new show on DIY? We're doing our
best to keep up with all the latest news on The Bronson Pinchot Project, so if
you don't want to miss out on anything be sure to join our Facebook
group or at least check in with our Blog
where we are posting links to the latest interviews and articles in the
media. Be sure to check out our News page for
information on Bronson's upcoming appearance on the online interview show Down
and Dirty! You can also find these compiled on our very own The Bronson Pinchot
Project Page. This week we are bringing you our usual updates,
including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new tidbit of information on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from an unknown
source about Bronson in Perfect Strangers from 1987 to our Articles
section. And we have embedded Bronson's 1988 interview on Good Morning,
America, to our Interviews section. And be sure to catch another one
of the very cute and fun One to One PSAs which aired on ABC on Saturday mornings
in the late 1980's to our YouTube Channel, this one about the value of not
lying. And since it's come up a few times since Bronson's new series
started, let's make the season five episode This Old House be the
episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board. And finally we leave you to ponder this
week's Forum
Topic of the Week
question, which is this: "When and how did you first
start watching Perfect Strangers?" True, we've discussed
similar subjects previously on the forums, but not on the new forums and we do
have some new members there, so why not share your stories again? Get out
of the city!
February
14, 2012 - Happy Valentine's
Day, Cousins! And what better Valentine's Day can there be than to have
Bronson back on our television sets, and in such an open and candid way!
Fans were treated to a wonderful barrage of interviews last week which Bronson
gave from both his home and in New York. You can catch up on all of these
by visiting our new The Bronson Pinchot
Project Page in which we will embed all the online episodes and also links
to all the media Bronson has done related to the show! Get out of the
city! We also must give a shout out to our good friend Chris Mann and
thank him for his wonderful job interviewing Bronson for his Reimagine That!
podcast! You can find the link to that on the previously mentioned page,
as well as our News page. (Thanks also to Cousin
Lucy of Bronson Pinchot
Online for helping Chris and I to secure the interview with Bronson as
well! Head on over to her site for the latest Q&A session with
Bronson, too!) Bronson also has a brand new official, official blog which
you can visit and comment on by going to the link on our Bronson
Page (also check out his demo reel while you're there!)
But let's move on to our regular updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We've also added a very interesting 1986 article about Perfect
Strangers from Newsday to our Articles
section. And we've embedded Bronson's November 1989 interview on CNN
Showbiz Today about Second Sight to our Interviews section. And
we've added yet another one of the adorable ABC's One to One PSA spots, this
time about bowling, to our YouTube
Channel. And the
episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the hilarious season two episode, Hunks
Like Us. (Be sure not to work out too much before your big Valentine's
Day dates, Cousins!) And finally take a moment to answer the following Topic of the Week
question up for discussion: "What is the most
interesting NEW thing you've learned about Bronson in the past week?"
Oh po po!
February
7, 2012 - Well, assist my
renovation and call me Mikey! The official debut of The Bronson Pinchot Project on the DIY
Network on February 11th is almost here! For those of you who missed the
first episode, it's a chance to finally see this fun series on television, and
for those of us who have seen it, well, I'm sure many of us will be tuning in
again! We will try to keep you up to date on any happenings for the show
that night, especially if Bronson does any live video feeds on DIY or anything,
so be sure to check our Facebook
page and Forum throughout
the day on February 11th! As we await the big day, let's go ahead and
peruse this week's updates, shall we? As always, we have a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new tidbit of P.S. related information on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We have also added a not-so-glowing review of Second Sight
from The New York Times to our articles
section, but only because they do give Bronson credit for his skills, even
though in general they pan the movie itself. This will also give you an
idea of the kinds of reviews Bronson read before having to go out and face the
talk show circuit anyway and how difficult it really was for him. We have
also added a February 1988 report from Entertainment
Tonight about movie scene stealers, as well as some other quick clips
from that time period featuring Bronson Pinchot, to our Interviews
section. And we've added another one of the ABC Saturday morning public
service announcement commercials called One to One to our YouTube
Channel, this time featuring Balki and Larry playing checkers! And the
episode we will be discussing this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board will be the classic season six entry, Speak,
Memory. All together now . . . "Hello, my name is Cousin Larry
App-le-ton!" And we are also offering the following Topic of the Week
question up for discussion: "Which episode of Perfect
Strangers do you think you've watched the most times, and why?"
It should be very interesting to see how everyone's answers vary on this one!
January
31, 2012 - Well, slant my
window panes and call me Bevel! We're anxiously awaiting the official
debut of The Bronson Pinchot Project on the DIY Network, but if you just can't
wait to see the first episode again you can now watch it on our News
page, courtesy of DIY, which has posted the episode online! Get out of the
city! We've also posted an article about the show posted on the Sun
Herald's website which you can also find on the News
page! I know we're all anxiously awaiting episode two, which will air on
February 11th, so be sure to join us on Facebook
and our new Forums to
discuss all the fun! This week we have our usual round of updates for you,
including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article about Bronson and Second
Sight from an unknown publication to our Articles section. And
speaking of Second Sight, we have embedded Bronson's 1988 interview on Entertainment
Tonight done on the set of that film. And speaking of Entertainment
Tonight we have now added another interview with Bronson from that show
aired on March 22, 1988 to our YouTube
Channel. And this week on our Forum's
Weekly Episode Discussion Board we will be discussing the final entry into the season-ending
four-episode story arc from
season seven, Get Me to the Dump on Time (and be honest, you're already
trying to remember how to pronounce the Bitatatoutata
Ratatatouille, complete with head turn and spit!) And while you're there,
give us an opinion on our Topic of the Week as well! This week's question
is this: "Which
room of Bronson's house do you most hope he will remodel next?"
And will he bring in Mark Linn-Baker to build a gazebo? Or perhaps take
one down? Well, of course not! Don't be ridiculous!
January
24, 2012 - Well, restore my
house and call me Bronson! We hope you all enjoyed the sneak peek of
Bronson's new home renovation series on the DIY Network, the Bronson Pinchot
Project! If you didn't catch it, don't despair! The show will
debut on February 11th, so there's still time to call your cable company and
order the DIY Network if you don't have it already! Let us begin this week
with our usual updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new tidbit of P.S. information on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article about Bronson from an Unknown
Publication in which he talks briefly about his name. And we have
embedded Bronson's 1988 interview on CNN Showbiz
Today to our Interviews section. And we have added Mark's
appearance on the 1989 People's Choice Awards to our YouTube
Channel! And if you haven't signed up for a new Forum
yet, please do so! This week we will be discussing the third entry into the season-ending four-episode story arc from
season seven, It Had to Be You. Finally we get to hear Justin's
voice and not just see the back of his head! And while you're over there,
join in our Topic of the Week, which is this: "If
Mark Linn-Baker were to star in a reality show of his own, what would you like
to be the focus of that show?" Blow my mind, why don't you??
January
17, 2012 - Well, Cousins,
this week marks the highly-anticipated sneak peek of Bronson's new series, The
Bronson Pinchot Project, for the Do-It-Yourself Network (DIY) on January
21st! You can catch a nice promo for the show on YouTube now, thanks to
the DIY Network, which you'll find on our News
page! We'll be talking about the show this week on our BRAND
NEW FORUMS, as well as our Blog
and also on Facebook,
so come join in the conversation and let us know what you think of the show
after it airs (and please note that the show airs at the same time on
both coasts, starting at 11:00 p.m. ET and 8:00 p.m. PT!) The show will
actually debut in February, so we're excited to
catch our first glimpse into Bronson's world of vintage home restoration (which
we suspect he approaches with much more care than he did as Balki with Cousin
Larry in episodes like This Old House and The Gazebo!) Did
we mention our new Forums??
Yes, after much soul-searching we decided to set up a new forum system for
everyone, and you can register online now! We hope to see many of our
regulars, as well as some new fans, join us in our fun discussions of the
series! And to help celebrate, we've even added some new Icons
for you to use! Get out of the city!! Now, let us not neglect our regular duties in announcing that this
week we
also have our usual updates, including a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new kernel of knowledge on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page. We have also added an article from an unknown publication about
Bronson being Born in the USA to our Articles
section. And we've added Rebeca's 1989 appearance on the television game
show Couch Potatoes to our Interview
section. And we've added Mark's 1989 appearance on the United Cerebral
Palsy Starathon to our YouTube Channel! And finally, the episode we will be discussing this week on our
brand new Forums
(did we mention they were new?) is the second entry into the season-ending four-episode story arc from
season seven, Chicago Suite. Are you in the mood for a Woody
Woodpecker marathon, Cousins? Well, of course you are! Don't be
ridiculous!! But that's not all! We're also re-introducing our Topic
of the Week, and this week's topic is timely: "What
do you think about the idea behind Bronson's new show and will you be watching
it?" We'll see you on the Forums,
Cousins!
January
10, 2012 - Welcome back,
Cousins! Having you join us week after week makes us happier than a tick
on a sheepdog! This week we're bringing you all-new updates, starting with
our usual fare: a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new interesting "FACT!" (spoke a la Larry Appleton)
on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page (don't forget to check out Sam Anderson in this week's episode of Work
it!) And check out our News page for
information about Bronson's upcoming new series for the DIY Network, The
Bronson Pinchot Project! We have also published a photograph taken of Bronson and Mark at
the American Comedy Awards to our Articles
section. And we've embedded Bronson's 1989 interview on Attitudes
to our Interviews section. We have now added Mark's introductory segments
from the 1988 special Moscow Circus to our YouTube
Channel. Now, we
have an issue with our And we will be
continuing our debate this week on our
Forums which we must address. After having issues during our hosting
package move last month I only now realized I no longer have access to the
Control Panel or Administrator Settings. Kind of hard to manage an online
forum without those! Because the forums have been fairly buggy from the
outset, and because our hosting company, which originally offered this version
of forum as part of their hosting package but sadly no longer supports it, we
will be exploring alternatives to the current Forum system. For the most
part, our Facebook
Group will likely take the place of the forums in the future. In
addition to this, we are adding a brand new Blog for both news and episode
discussions! So we will try this for a while to see how it works
out. The current Forums will remain in place for fans to view past posts
and continue to talk if they like, but note that they will no longer be
maintained and if they go wonky, that will be that. Sorry for the
inconvenience, Cousins, but we hope we can set up enough alternative venues of
discussion to keep our close family of Cousins together and communicating!
So with that being said, we will allow last week's episode discussion of the beginning of the season seven
quadruple episode season final storyline . . . Or Get Off the
Pot to
continue on the Blog so you can have your say and we can test
these new options! Definitely let
us know what you think of the changes and which you prefer!
January
3, 2012 - Happy New Year,
Cousins! We hope you are having a wonderful year so far! We're going
to try to help make it a good year with lots of fun updates for you, so hold on
to your cats! Let's start the New Year right with our usual updates,
starting with a brand new Photo of the
Week, a new factoid on our Tell
Me Something I Don't Know page, and up-to-date listings on the What's On
Television?
page (sadly we missed announcing Sam Anderson's appearance on Hawaii-Five 0
here on the site, although we did mention it on Facebook, but you have a chance
to catch him on television yet as he's appearing in the January 10th episode of
the new series Work It!) We have also added an article from an unknown
publication (most likely a teen magazine) circa 1986 which explains how
Bronson would give a secret wink to his fans in public. And Cousin Cheryl
amazingly spotted Rebeca Arthur in a commercial recently, and you can read more
about that on our News page! And then we have
added Bronson's very funny Movietime interview which the fabulous Richard Blade
conducted with Bronson Pinchot in 1989 to our Interviews section! And to
keep you in the New Year spirit we have added Mark's segments with Tracy
Scoggins from the 1987 Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Special to our
YouTube Channel. And finally the episode we will be discussing this week on our Forums'
Weekly Episode Discussion board will be the beginning of the season seven
quadruple episode season final storyline . . . Or Get Off the Pot.
The season seven episodes leading up to Balki and Mary Anne's wedding sparks
some interesting reactions from fans, both negative and positive, so we will be
going over these four pivotal episodes sequentially in the coming weeks!
This should be a very exciting year, Cousins, and we're especially looking
forward to the debut of Bronson's new house renovation series, The Bronson
Pinchot Project, for the Do It Yourself Network, scheduled to debut on
January 21st! Be sure to follow us on Facebook
for all the latest info about this exciting debut!
